I think the description of the coin doubler board is exactly backwards. See Two Bit's website. I will fix it unless someone sets me straight. ts4z (talk) 21:06, 24 June 2014 (CDT)

"Sometimes the switch edge test can show one or multiple opto switches flickering open and closed."

I am looking for clarification on this statement.  Will it only affect other optos or will it also affect physical switches which would only be apparent if they are closed?

I am guessing from that statement that this would affect all switches on either the columns and/or rows that are connected to this 10 Opto Board, but I am looking for confirmation.

For example, if U2 were affected, that could affect on column (labelled as column 1 in the schematic but can be any column in the switch matrix).
It might also affect rows 5, 6 & 7 as U2 is connected to one column and three rows. U1 would affect rows 1 - 4. U3 would affect rows 1 - 3 and one column (labelled 2 in the schematic). The Hammer (talk) 16:00, 19 September 2026 (CDT)

I found the text.
I don't think it means anything other than what it says.
A failing LM339 comparator can sometimes indicate a switch is closed and sometimes indicate a switch is open. It can indicate one switch, or all of the switches that the comparator is responsible for.

Does that make sense or I have I missed the point?

We should push game-specific comments into the game page. Having them all up front is messy. We can always create compendium pages later.--Mr 04:04, 7 May 2011 (BST)

Hey Martin...I agree...After the other reorganizing I did...I ran out of energy. BTW, I made a new page called "WPC DMD Controller Board"...just to be a bit more consistent with other namings. I copied your crack at it into that page. I don't know how to delete old pages. --Chris Hibler 04:49, 7 May 2011 (BST)

OK Martin, et.al....moved game specific issues and fixes to a subpage for now...Eventually, these should be moved to the game specific page.

Moved all game specific issues to the game's subpage... --Chris Hibler 03:58, 9 May 2011 (BST)

OK, I am going to push a few other repairs into their appropriate pages. --Mr 07:16, 21 May 2011 (BST)

WPC 10 Opto Board Problems
